Clinical Rotation: Caden’s Fieldwork Experience with Blue Stone Therapy
At Blue Stone Therapy, helping the next generation of therapists is a huge part of what we do. Helping build strength for older adults takes a special kind of heart and skill, and we want to make sure future therapists feel prepared to jump in on day one. This is why we team up with universities to offer hands-on student placements for all levels of study and give them the amazing opportunities our company has to offer.
Caden, is a Physical Therapy student at Augustana University’s accelerated physical therapy program and is currently spending his clinical rotation with Blue Stone Therapy. He works each day with a Rehab Director mentor and gets a true day-to-day look at what it’s truly like to be a physical therapist.
Within our student program, future therapists get actual hands-on work each day. Caden gets to see about eight patients each day, all while learning how to keep up with everyday charts, and patient progress. He is also able to participate in Medicare meetings, along with discussing patient plans with doctors, nurses, and the rest of the therapy team.

Looking back at his experience, Caden shared, “I appreciate how welcoming and willing everyone has been to assist me in becoming the best physical therapist I can be. From the moment I stepped into the clinic, I have felt a sense of belonging, and that is something I have truly appreciated about Blue Stone Therapy’s student program”.
Caden can spend time within this Skilled Nursing Facility and see how big of a difference physical therapy makes for older adults. By being able to follow a professional mentor, he has been able to learn techniques, real-world decisions, and build up his confidence as a future therapist.
Our company created this student program to connect future therapists with strong mentors who genuinely care about helping them grow efficiently. We want to make sure every student walks away feeling stronger, capable, and ready for their career. Together, we are building strength to enhance the lives of those we serve.
