Occupational Therapy (OT) Aspen Therapy works with people on improving everyday activities. These could include self-care tasks like dressing, parenting, shopping, working, using a computer, taking transit, interacting in social situations, or going to school — anything that is important to a person. People often see an occupational therapist because of an illness or injury that may make it hard to fully participate or enjoy their activities. Occupational therapy can look different depending on if the patient is an adult or a child, what activities are important to them, and what condition is limiting activities. But, the goal in all occupational therapy is to help people be as independent, safe, active, and successful as possible in the activities they want and need to do each day.
